Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to the FAQ section of my website. Here you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. I hope that your question is answered here, but if not, feel free to send me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
How long are gift vouchers valid for? Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and can be redeemed against workshops and in the print store. Gift vouchers can be sent either digitally or I can send a physical item in the post.
Why can’t I book a workshop/one to one on any day of the week? I have a full time job outside of photography which means that I am not always available during the day within school term times and year 8 would be gutted if I abandoned them mid lesson! You can check term times for the area I work in by clicking on this link. If you have a particular date in mind, click here to get in touch and we can work something out. Evening workshops are available most days during the summer owing to the longer daylight hours. Weekends are always a go!
What is the structure of the workshops/one to ones? This will be decided by you, during our pre workshop chat, we will discuss what you want to achieve and your current skill level to ensure that you are getting the most out of our time together.
Do I need to be physically fit/able to take part in a workshop/one to one? Not at all! There are many places in the Lake District which are “Drive up and shoot” or which are short walk from the car park, I’m just as happy to use these places as I am to go for a walk up a fell!
Can I bring my dog? Yes! Absolutely!
How much is shipping on your prints? Shipping is free - the price you see is the price you pay.
Why don't you sell framed prints? Everyone has different tastes for their home/office/premises and storing enough framed prints to suit all styles would take up more space than I have available.
Can I collect in person? Unfortunately, I am unable to offer this but postage is free, quick and fully insured. All postage is sent via Royal Mail.
How do you ship your prints? Prints are shipped in mailing tubes and are carefully packed to ensure that they arrive with you in perfect condition. In the unlikely event of a problem, please contact me and I will work with you to resolve the issue. Prints are sent via Royal Mail first class post.
Do you ship internationally? At present, shipping is only to UK/ROI addresses. I hope to be able to offer worldwide shipping the near future.
How much do you charge for headshots/portraits? This will depend on exactly what you are looking for and what images you would like to have at the end of the shoot. Get in touch and we can discuss your requirements.
Do I have to come to you? Not at all! I do have a small studio space where we can take headshots/portraits, but I am also able to travel to your business/place of work to work with you and I love shooting outdoors, on location!
Can you come to my school? Yes, of course! I am fully DBS checked, with the update service and can provide a physical copy when I attend. I have worked schools for a number of years and I can work with you to complete staff headshots, student photos for MIS and individual/class portraits with full GDPR compliance. I am also happy to deliver workshops/talks to students. Get in touch and let’s work together.
Are you insured? Yes. Certificates of public liability can be supplied as required prior to any engagement and will be included as part of our contract.
Does gear matter? Only the bit that’s behind the camera, and more importantly, the part of them between the ears!
